Caleb and Jordan started the 4th grade in their new school a few weeks ago. It was hard for all of us to say 'good-bye' to summer break. Even still, the boys seemed excited to meet their teachers and have a chance to make some new friends.
First Day of School Morn--Caleb & Jordan pose for a quick picture and finish getting ready.
Jord..."Smile for Mom! Show me how excited you are to go to school!"
We opted to place the boys in the same class this year. They spent the 3rd grade apart and it was more difficult on them than we had anticipated. Hopefully, 4th grade in a new school with new teachers (they have team teachers) and the 'same' brother will be a recipe for success. So far, so good.
This is the first year that the boys get to ride the bus. I say 'get to' because they think that riding the bus is the coolest thing ever. I'm sure it wont take long for the excitement to wear thin.
So, this is my view every morning. With the exception of high-stress, faulty-alarm mornings when they are running late and running to catch the bus. Just picture back packs bouncing, heads bobbing, one twin running several yards behind the other shouting, "Hey, wait up!" the other quite winded and grumbling, "Were gonna miss the bus." I have to admit; however stressful the morning might be trying to get these guys out the door...that stress just melts away watching my BIG BOYS make their way to where they are supposed to be. (whether it be walking, or running)
